Telehealth Physiotherapy.

Unable to use our in-home on clinic physio service? Book a Telehealth appointment

Are you after faster access to a physiotherapist?

The Rehab Team Telehealth service is a fantastic alternative if you are in need of an urgent appointment with a physiotherapist or are in a location with limited access to physiotherapy services.

Our telehealth consultations will deliver the same exceptional level of care as our face-to-face service offerings. Telehealth physiotherapy has many of the same benefits as an in-person physiotherapy session. You will work directly with your physio to discuss, assess, and diagnose problems just as if you were in the clinic. As always, The Rehab Team physios will help you better manage your condition better.

Our physiotherapists replicate face-to-face physiotherapy treatment and rehab protocols, providing assessments via video using observation, provisional diagnosis of injuries, giving comprehensive advice, supervising exercise therapy, showing treatment techniques and teaching in-home self-management.

All telehealth appointments are completed online using our secure patient management system, Cliniko, and exercise prescription software, Physi App. There are no downloads needed prior to your appointment, we are just one click away.

What conditions are suited to online physio appointments?

The majority of musculoskeletal injuries are able to be assessed and managed effectively with telehealth physiotherapy. These can include:

  • Muscle & joint strains

  • Back, neck, wrist, hand & shoulder pain

  • Hip, knee & ankle pain

  • Pre & post surgical rehabilitation

  • Tendonitis / Tendinosis

  • Osteoporosis / Osteoarthritis

  • Postural, balance & coordination issues

  • And much more, just ask!

There are some neurological conditions that are also suited to online physiotherapy appointments. Whether this is an option for you depends on your functional level, your symptoms and therapy goals. These are best determined on a case-by-case basis, send us an email, and we will let you know!

Still not sure if telehealth physiotherapy is for you?

While there are many injuries that can be managed via telehealth physiotherapy, some conditions do require 'hands-on' assessment and treatment. Our physiotherapists are skilled at determining when an injury requires face to face investigation. If we feel that your injury or situation is not at all suitable for an online consultation by a physiotherapist, we will let you know, and refund the cost of the consultation. We can also organise a face-to-face appointment with our team or help you find a suitable physiotherapist in your area.
